Fruit is sourced from 45 year vines in the McLaren Vale region. The resultant wine is aged in 500L French oak puncheons to softly give a subtle oak influence.
A sweet chocolate and carob nose with black and blue berries , floral violets perfumed with subtle underlying cedar cigar box complexity, combine with generous soulful luscious fruits on the palette with a touch of powdery tannin. With a small percentage of petit Verdot blended to add interest creating a lifted perfumed aroma and fuller structure to the palate.
Aged in 30% new 500L Russian Oak and balance in 1 & 2 year old French 300L
