2012 GEDDES GRENACHE
As with all Geddes wine labels, there is a process when all barrels are laid out and judged individually. It's not until the results are gathered that decisions are then made. Tough scrutiny makes great wines. There is no pressure to make products every year, the products make themselves. From a cool and long ripening came one of the best vintages of red wine from Mclaren Vale. After from maturation and barrel select came a single vineyard Grenache. Selection is decided by fruit versus oak. Soft and subtle oak is a key to remain elegant vibrant Grenache. This variety has floral, bright vibrant red fruit with soft, round luscious fruit with fine grain elegant tannin for support. A variety stereotyped for early consumption but famous wines from around the world shows grenache gains complexity and intrigue with age.
