2018 Grenache is from two vineyards. One is located in the entrance to Mclaren Vale on stump hill, with the soil consisting of sand over clay on a slight elevation facing south east. They are 20 years of aged on trellising.
The wine had two fermentation techniques where 50% was carbonic maceration for 14 days and then fermentation was completed in whole bunch open fermentation and foot stomped to squash the berries. The balance was tradition whole berries open ferment and basket pressed.

70% of this wine is made from 80 year old bush vines from Blewitt Spring with the soil consisting of sand over iron stone pebbles and then clay facing north east. The grapes had two harvest with a week apart. One had a portion of carbonic maceration while the other had a portion of whole bunch in the open ferment and basket pressed.

Basket Pressed and then aged for 12 months is French 3kl Foudre and puncheons

2018 Vintage is one of best in general warm days and cool nights with moderate crop levels, producing vibrant fresh fruits with a well balance low pH with natural acid levels that makes these wines so stand out as the best
