Spending 20 months in 40% new French oak, this Shiraz is comprised of the fruits from three different vineyards - the rich ironstone soil of Martins Road, the bold limestone of Maslin Beach and the character-rich reliability of our 75year-old Shiraz vines. This provides us with a wine that has a generous, savoury and structured palate.
A warmer ripening period for this vintage created a wine with more intense fruit characteristics having notes of plum, blackberry, pepper, black forest cake with an underlying French oak coconut hint.
A Shiraz worthy of drinking now and has the ability to age beautifully and spark joy in the years to come.
